Glass mosaics are purchased in sheets and can be used to cover large areas or cut to create borders. The sparkling qualities of glass mosaics are often combined with matt or stone tiles to contrast and enhance.
Glass Tiles
We deal with a lot of different suppliers but predominantly your choice should be dependant on what and where you want to use your glass tiles. Generally tiles can be 10mm thick to complement stone and high quality ceramics or you can get them 5mm thick for coverage of larger areas in glass alone. The finish can usually be clear or frosted. Sizes do vary but the most popular choice is the 10 x 10cm tile.
Glass Splash backs/Panels
The use of coloured glass splash backs has increased dramatically. The latest trend is to use a glass upstand in the kitchen around the worktops and a glass panel in the hob area. Glass splash backs can be used as an alternative to a few courses of tiles behind a vanity or sink.
You can choose to have a panel made to your exact requirements or for a cheaper option you can select a pre-cut panel, which comes in a multitude of sizes. Panels can even be used as a complete shower recess wall.
