It is a metamorphic rock and it is the result of extreme heat and pressure applied to the limestone that transforms the structure. All pure marble is white and comparatively ‘soft’ to work with. Impurities form the veins and create the colours making each slab unique. For thousands of years marble has been used as a decorative material for walls and floors and its natural qualities remains surpassed. Its remarkable beauty stems from the fact it can be polished to such a high gloss which creates the illusion of depth, reflects an array of colours and remains a testament to fine living everywhere.
